Domestic abuse is a big issue in the DFW area. It is an issue that is never really talked about, but frequently happens in our community. Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of size, gender, or strength, yet the problem is often overlooked, excused, or denied. A Door of Hope is a nonprofit organization in Collin County that brings awareness to families suffering from domestic violence. Hope’s Door is a shelter and counseling center that offers comprehensive programs and services that are designed to help break this cycle of domestic abuse.
